Your exact price is fixed by postcode at booking — here’s why it varies. A skip going on a public road also needs the £40 council permit, covered below.
What your price already covers.
Cheap headline prices usually mean an invoice with footnotes. Ours work the other way: one figure, four things inside it, nothing bolted on at the end.
VAT
Included at 20% in every figure on this site and in the checkout. The price on the screen is the price on your card statement — no ‘+VAT’ waiting at the end.
Delivery & collection
Drop-off and pick-up by our own drivers on our own lorries, priced into every skip. There is no separate haulage line on the bill.
Seven days’ hire
A full week as standard — most jobs are done in two or three. Running over? Ring before your collection date and we’ll extend it by the day or the week.
Disposal & recycling
Tipping and sorting at our Leeds transfer station are in the price — where over 90% of what we collect is diverted from landfill.
The only things that cost more.
This is the complete list. If it isn’t here, it isn’t charged — and everything here is priced on screen before you pay, not discovered on the invoice.
Road permit
Only needed when the skip sits on a public road or pavement — on your own driveway or land there’s nothing to pay. We apply to the council for you and supply lights and cones; the fee covers an initial two-week period. Full detail in our skip permit guide.
Longer hire
Seven days’ hire is included and covers most jobs. If yours is running on, ring before your collection date and we’ll extend by the day or the week for a small charge — no re-booking, no second delivery fee.
Wait & load
No room for a skip to sit? The lorry arrives, the driver waits while you load, and the skip goes straight away. Nothing on the road overnight and no permit needed — useful on tight terraces and busy streets.
And the things no skip can take at all — fridges and freezers, tyres, asbestos, paint, chemicals, gas canisters and batteries. The full list, with what to do instead, is in what can go in a skip.
Why your postcode moves the price.
Every skip price is built from the same three parts: the skip itself, the processing at our transfer station, and the lorry’s round trip from our yard on Garnet Road in LS11. The first two don’t change with your address. The third does.
So we price by postcode zone. Streets a few minutes from the yard get our lowest figures, and the price steps up gently the further the lorry travels, out to the edges of our patch. Same skip, same service, same drivers — the only variable is mileage.
Booking online does the work for you: type your postcode and the checkout prices your street exactly, before you’ve paid anything. No quote callbacks, no rounding up on the day.

The middle ring
Most of Leeds & Wakefield
A short hop for the lorry — a modest step up from the headline figure.
The outer edge
Pontefract, Knottingley & the far WF postcodes
More road, more diesel, more driver time — a little more on the price, and never a surprise.
Start from your town.
Each town page quotes from-prices for its own postcodes, not a best-case figure from the other side of Leeds. The 2 yard starting prices below were last synced with our booking system on 29 July 2026.
We also deliver daily to Pudsey and Garforth — and the full patch, LS1–LS18, LS25–LS28 and WF1–WF17, is mapped on our areas page.

Skip hire starts from £130 for a 2 yard skip, £170 for a 4 yard, £270 for an 8 yard and £510 for a 16 yard — all including VAT, delivery, collection and seven days’ hire. Your exact price depends on your postcode: we price by zone, based on how far your street is from our yard in LS11, so addresses near the yard pay our lowest figures and the price steps up gently towards the edge of our LS and WF coverage. Nothing else is bolted on — tipping and recycling at our Leeds transfer station are already in the figure. The one common extra is the £40 council permit when a skip sits on a public road; mattresses, carpets and plasterboard also carry per-item controlled-waste charges, declared at booking. Enter your postcode on the booking page and the exact street-level figure comes back before you pay.
No. The quoted price covers the skip, VAT, delivery, collection and seven days’ hire. The only possible extras are the £40 council permit if the skip sits on a public road, per-item charges for controlled waste like mattresses, carpets and plasterboard, extending the hire past seven days, and the £25 wait-and-load service — every one listed on this page and priced before you pay.
Yes. Every price on this site and in the booking checkout includes VAT at 20% — there is no ‘+VAT’ surprise at the end. If you need a VAT receipt for a trade job, just ask the office.
Prices are set by postcode zone, based on how far your street is from our yard on Garnet Road in Leeds. Postcodes close to the yard, like LS10 and LS11, get the lowest prices, and the figure rises gradually towards the edge of our coverage because the lorry spends longer on the road. The skip and the service are identical in every zone.
£40 — and it’s only needed when the skip sits on a public road or pavement. On your own driveway or land there’s no permit at all. We handle the council application for you, and the fee covers an initial two-week period.
Seven days’ hire is included in every price and covers most jobs comfortably. If you need longer, ring the office before your collection date and we’ll extend by the day or the week for a small charge — far cheaper than booking a second skip.
The lorry delivers the skip, the driver waits while you load it, and it goes straight back on the wagon and away. Because nothing sits on the road there’s no permit to buy — it costs £25 on top of the skip price and suits tight terraces and busy streets.
