Skip hire with Onyx starts from £130 for a 2-yard mini skip and £270 for an 8-yard builder's skip in the Leeds and Wakefield areas. Every price includes VAT, delivery, collection and seven days' hire. Enter your postcode above for the exact figure for your street.
Only if the skip is going on a public road or pavement. On your own driveway or land, no permit is needed. If it is going on the road we apply to the council for you — the permit fee is £50 and covers an initial two-week period. Lights and cones are supplied as standard.
Next-day delivery is standard across Leeds and Wakefield when you book before 3pm. Same-day is often possible — call the office and we'll tell you honestly whether we can make it rather than promise and miss.
No fridges or freezers, tyres, asbestos, paint, chemicals, gas canisters or batteries. Mattresses, carpets and plasterboard are accepted but are charged separately as controlled waste. Everything else — general household, garden, construction and demolition waste — is fine.
Seven days is included as standard. Need longer? Extend by the day or week at a small charge — just ring us before your collection date and we'll move it in the system.
It comes back to our transfer station and is sorted by hand and machine into wood, metal, plastics, hardcore, soil and residual. Over 90% is recovered as recyclate, aggregate or refuse-derived fuel. We are a licensed waste carrier and can supply waste transfer notes for any job.
