2 yard
Mini Skip · ≈ 20 bin bags
Bathroom rip-outs, small clearouts and garden tidies. Fits on a standard driveway.
From £130inc. VAT
Skips for most jobs, grab lorries for the heavy piles, roll-on-roll-off containers for sites that never stop producing. One yard in Leeds, our own lorries, and over 90% of everything we collect kept out of landfill.
Onyx Recycling has run its own skips, grab lorries and RoRo containers from Garnet Road in Leeds since 2017. Nothing is brokered out: the lorry that turns up is ours, the driver is on our payroll, and the waste comes back to our own transfer station to be sorted.
That matters for two reasons. It means one phone number — 0113 539 9836 — covers every way of getting waste off a job, from a 2-yard mini skip to a 60-yard container on scheduled exchange. And it means we can tell you exactly what happened to your waste afterwards: over 90% of what we collect is recovered as recyclate, aggregate or fuel rather than buried.
We cover LS1–LS18, LS25–LS28 and WF1–WF17 — Leeds, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Batley and the towns in between, every working day.
The right answer for most jobs — a bathroom rip-out, a garden tidy, a full renovation. Delivered next day across Leeds and Wakefield, with VAT, delivery, collection and seven days' hire in every price.

Maxi Skip · ≈ 160 bin bags
Large strip-outs and bulky light waste. Volume, not weight — no soil or rubble.
From £510inc. VAT
VAT, delivery, collection and seven days’ hire. The figure you see is the figure you pay.
A £40council permit covers an initial two-week period — we apply for it so you don’t have to learn how.
Soil and rubble are fine up to the 8-yard. The 16-yard is volume, not weight — light waste only. Unsure? See what can go in a skip.
Worth knowing about
The same capacity as our open 16-yarder, but with a fixed, lockable lid. Worth having when a site sits unattended: it keeps the rain out of your waste and stops the neighbourhood treating your skip as a communal amenity overnight. Light waste only, like the open 16 — priced by phone.
Worth knowing about
No room for a skip to sit, or no appetite for a permit? We deliver, the driver waits while you load, and the whole lot leaves again in the same visit. Nothing stays on the road, so there’s no permit to buy — just have the waste stacked and ready before we arrive. Booked by phone so we can plan the driver’s time.
A tipper with its own hydraulic arm, loading soil, hardcore and green waste straight off your job — over the wall if it has to. What would take days of barrowing into skips is gone in one visit.
We run 6-wheel and 8-wheel grab lorries across Leeds and Wakefield. An 8-wheeler shifts roughly the contents of three to four builder’s skips in a single load, and because the arm does the lifting from the roadside, nothing needs to sit on the highway — so there’s no council permit to think about either.
Grab work is priced by phone, because the price depends on the material, the tonnage and the access. Call 0113 539 9836, describe the pile, and we’ll quote it while you’re on the line.
Muck away for gardens, groundworks and demolition — taken for recovery, not tipping.
The 8-wheeler for volume, the 6-wheeler for tight streets and softer ground.
The arm reaches from the kerb, so the pile doesn't need vehicle access.
The lorry stops, loads and leaves — nothing left sitting on the road.
Hook-loader containers for sites that outgrow skips — new builds, factories, big strip-outs. Delivered, exchanged and removed on a schedule that matches how fast you fill them.
Can’t see yours? Call the office on 0113 539 9836 — someone who knows the answer will pick up.
A rough rule: a skip for anything a household or single trade job produces, a grab lorry when there's a big pile of soil or hardcore that would swallow several skips, and a roll-on-roll-off container when a site keeps producing waste week after week. If you're on the fence, call 0113 539 9836 and describe the job — we size this stuff all day and we'll tell you the cheapest way to do it.
Everything you'd expect and nothing hiding: VAT, delivery, collection and seven days' hire are all in the price. Skips start from £130 inc. VAT for a 2-yard mini. The only common extra is the £40 council permit if the skip sits on a public road — and we arrange that for you.
Next-day delivery is standard across Leeds and Wakefield when you book before 3pm. Same-day is often possible if you phone the office — we'll tell you honestly whether we can make it rather than promise and miss. Grab lorries and RoRo containers are scheduled by phone, usually within a couple of working days.
LS1 to LS18, LS25 to LS28 and WF1 to WF17 — Leeds, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Batley and the towns in between, all served daily from our yard on Garnet Road in Leeds. Outside those postcodes? Call us — we can often cover further on request.
Every load comes back to our own transfer station, where it's sorted by hand and machine into wood, metal, plastics, hardcore, soil and residual. Over 90% is diverted from landfill as recyclate, aggregate or fuel. We're a licensed waste carrier and can supply a waste transfer note for any job.
If the skip sits on your own driveway or land, no permit is needed at all. On a public road it needs a £40 council permit, which we apply for on your behalf — it covers an initial two-week period. And if there's genuinely nowhere for a skip to sit, our wait-and-load service means nothing is left behind and no permit is needed.
