Commercial & trade

One account, every site.

Skips, grab lorries and RoRo exchanges across Leeds and Wakefield on one monthly invoice — with the duty-of-care paperwork already done. Set up in one phone call, not one working week.

Why an account

Waste, off your list of worries.

If waste is part of how your business runs, the ad-hoc approach gets old fast: a card payment for every skip, a different price every month, chasing paperwork that should have arrived with the lorry. A trade account with Onyx replaces all of it with one arrangement — rates agreed up front, everything invoiced monthly, transfer notes filed as standard.

Because we run our own fleet from our own yard on Garnet Road, reliability isn’t a promise we relay from a subcontractor — it’s our lorries and our drivers, the same ones, every time. Exchanges turn up when we say they will, which as one of our long-standing account customers puts it, is the entire job.

Every service we run sits on the same account: skips from 2 to 16 yards, grab hire and muck away, and 20 to 60 yard RoRo containers on exchange. Want to try us on one job first? Book a skip online and see how we do.

What you get

The boring things, handled brilliantly.

Nothing here is glamorous. It's invoicing, scheduling and paperwork — the stuff that quietly eats your admin time when it's done badly, and disappears entirely when it's done well.

01

Monthly invoicing

One consolidated invoice instead of a card payment per skip, itemised by site or job reference so reconciling it takes minutes, not a morning.

02

Agreed rates

Priced once for your volumes and waste streams, then held across the account — no re-quoting every order, no number that wobbles by the week.

03

Priority exchanges

Account work goes to the front of the diary. Order before 3pm and skips or containers are usually swapped next working day, on our own lorries.

04

Paperwork done

A waste transfer note for every collection, EWC-coded, with carrier registration details on file. Duty of care handled properly, ready for any audit.

05

Multi-site support

One account across LS1–LS18, LS25–LS28 and WF1–WF17. Deliveries and exchanges logged per site; the lot lands on a single invoice.

06

A direct line

The Leeds office answers the phone and knows your account. No ticket numbers, no call centre scripts, no explaining the job from scratch each time.

Who it suits

Trades we already run with.

If your line of work produces waste on repeat, an account will fit. These are the sectors we see most — but the shape of the account bends to the shape of the business.

  • 01

    Builders & groundworkers

Builder's skips with heavy waste on rotation, grab lorries for the dig, a 20-yard RoRo when the demolition phase starts. One call moves the whole sequence.

  • 02

    Kitchen & bathroom fitters

Midi and builder's skips arriving next day so the rip-out never waits, and wait-and-load for the terraced streets where a skip can't sit. Several fitting firms have run their waste through us for years.

  • 03

    Landscapers

Green waste and turf strippings by the skip-load, soil and hardcore out by grab when the regrade produces more than expected — which, in our experience, it usually does.

  • 04

    Facilities & property management

Scheduled skips and RoRo exchanges across a portfolio, a transfer note filed against every property, and one monthly invoice your finance team will actually thank you for.

  • 05

    Retail & warehousing

60-yard RoRos for packaging and cardboard in volume, enclosed skips where stock areas need to stay secure, exchanges timed around trading hours rather than through them.

Getting started

Open a trade account in one call.

No application portal, no onboarding journey. You talk to a person, we agree how it works, and the first lorry can be on site the next working day.

Sites, waste streams, rough volumes. We'll suggest the right mix of skips, grab and RoRo — and agree rates for it there and then.

03

By phone or email, whichever suits the way your jobs run. Everything lands on one monthly invoice with the paperwork attached.

Questions

Trade accounts, answered.

Anything more specific — payment terms, a particular waste stream, an awkward site — call 0113 539 9836 and ask. It’s quicker than a contact form and you’ll get a straight answer.

No. A kitchen fitter taking one skip a month is as welcome as a groundworks firm exchanging RoRos every week. The account is just a better way of working with us — agreed rates, monthly invoicing, priority scheduling — and it costs nothing to hold.

One consolidated invoice a month covering everything you've had — skips, grab loads, RoRo exchanges — itemised by site or job reference so whoever reconciles it can see what belongs to which job at a glance. No card payment every time a lorry moves.

A waste transfer note for every collection with the correct EWC codes, plus our waste carrier registration details. Everything is filed against your account, so when an audit or a main contractor asks for the trail, it's a phone call rather than an archaeology project. Over 90% of what we collect is diverted from landfill, which tends to read well in environmental reporting too.

Yes — that's most of what accounts are for. We cover LS1 to LS18, LS25 to LS28 and WF1 to WF17 daily, so a portfolio spread across Leeds, Wakefield, Dewsbury and Batley runs through one number and lands on one invoice, with each delivery and exchange logged against its site.

Account jobs get priority in the diary. Order a skip exchange or a RoRo swap before 3pm and we can usually do it next working day — and because we run our own lorries rather than subcontracting, when we say a day, we mean that day.

All of them: skips from 2 to 16 yards including the enclosed 16-yarder and wait-and-load, 6 and 8-wheel grab hire, and 20 to 60 yard RoRo containers on exchange. Most accounts end up mixing services job by job — that's rather the point of having everything under one roof.

Less admin, fewer surprises.

One supplier for skips, grab and RoRo across Leeds and Wakefield — agreed rates, monthly invoicing, paperwork included. Email the office or call and we'll set it up.
